This review article gives an overview of the recent research directions in eco-friendly, non-toxic, and earth-abundant thermoelectric materials. It covers materials such as sulfides, tetrahedrites, oxides, silicides, copper iodine, Half-Heusler intermetallic compounds, nitrides, other environmentally friendly thermoelectrics.
